The First Game

This past week-end we went to one of our Granddaughter’s first basketball game. She seemed to really have a good time playing and it was certainly fun watching.
My Granddaughter is the one who appears to be balancing the ball on her fingertips.
She has a game every Saturday for the next few weeks. Her younger sister has a knee injury and hasn’t been able to play, yet. I think she has one more week to sit out then she starts her games as well. They too are on Saturday. Hmmmm. I wonder what we will be doing on Saturday for the next month or so?

A Campin’ We Will Go

Except for short trips around town, which she loves, Allie had not been in the car alot. She had never been camping with us. She is a country dog and not used to being confined to a lease. We were apprehensive, but she did great. She loved the camper and made herself right at home. It took a couple of days for her to get used to “going on a lease” when we stopped, but that came, too. She loved running untethered when we got home, but I am sure she will be ready to go on another trip.
I have more pictures of our trip on my Flicker site listed on the right.Â

For some reason…

I thought most birds only had their babies in the spring. I have seen barn swallows have a nest of babies in the spring and again in late summer. But, this year, I have seen fledging Mockingbirds and, now, this nest of young Sparrows. Â Just goes to show you how much I know about birds.

She’s back

This is exactly why we planted these flowers. The male showed up earlier, but he did not stay around long enough to get a photograph.
